at Access Ohio
Access Ohio offers our patients comprehensive care options with a full
spectrum of coverage to address the patient needs.
Our Outpatient services are provided at multiple locations and enacted by the caring staff of Access ohio in a structured environment. Treatment is individualized and can include counseling sessions, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, life coaching skills and other services as needed. Access Ohio offers Addiction Treatment & Mental/Behavioral Services in our outpatient facilities.
Intensive Outpatient services are designed around those patients who are struggling or have worsened with outpatient services and require an extra level of care and attention. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) program helps individuals experiencing mental health or substance abuse issues that do not require care or crisis stabilization. Access Ohio offers IOP program for both mental health and substance abuse.
Access Ohio’s sober living program are for those whom have successfully graduated from intensive inpatient or residential programs. Access Ohio firmly believes that drug addiction should not be treated as a crime but rather as a disease like any other addiction and that patients deserve an opportunity to rejoin the community without criminal penalties. Our program allows patients to slowly integrate back into their normal environment without the rigor of monitoring but in a safe and fostering environment. We offer Job training and aids as part of our service offerings.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. Medications used in MAT are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and MAT programs are clinically driven and tailored to meet each patient’s needs. MAT is primarily used for the treatment of addiction to opioids such as heroin and
prescription pain relievers that contain opiates. The prescribed medication operates to normalize brain chemistry, block the euphoric effects of alcohol and opioids, relieve physiological cravings, and normalize body functions without the negative and euphoric effects of the substance used.
Access Ohio offers clients different levels of care which include Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient & Outpatient care settings. We accept Medicaid/All ManagedMedicaid plans and commercial insurance plans.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a more intensive level of care than our IOP program and offered as a day program or an evening program that provides therapeutic and recovery support to adults who must maintain their work, school, or family schedule. We offer PHP for both Mental Health and Substance abuse patient population.
For those suffering from substance abuse issues, typical hospitalization lasts only 3-5 days. Most of those with addiction cannot change their lives in such short periods of time, resulting in frequent relapses. Once they are discharged from the hospital, our residential treatment facilities allow patients to stay up to 30 days to get clean through a monitored, intensive treatment (minimum of 30 hours of group/individual therapy and physician services). Although an unlocked facility, patients may be required to do random drug testing and confirmation throughout their stay. This ensures they are sticking to treatment protocols. Patients co-occurring mental health and physical health issues are also addressed during this time. Case managers work with patients throughout their stay to help them find suitable housing, which enables sober living and connects them to outpatient care.
This is our most intensive form of therapy and is advised for those who have severe addiction levels or cannot safely manage their addiction outside of a medical setting. Access Residential Treatment Facilities will offer treatment to both male and female patients, eighteen and over, who are Medicaid eligible for up to 90-days of residential treatment. At Access Residential our dedicated staff will work to better the body, mind and spirit of every individual we partner with; to enable their healthful transition back into purposeful lives within their community.
Clients receive 31 hours of group therapy per week, a minimum of 1 hour of individual counseling (depending on Individualized Treatment Plan). Upon program completion, clients are strongly urged to step down into Sober Living (arranged by counselors).
We accept Medicaid and commercial insurance.
We accept clients referred to this program from another facility, typically a hospital, ER, or detox
center & Clients on probation.

Access Hospital Dayton is a 110-bed, acute psychiatric hospital serving adults eighteen and older.
Access Ohio inpatient program is designed for our patients who have additional medical needs that require greater supervision than what is already provided through the residential level of care. The patients in our inpatient program receive 24-hour care, daily therapeutic sessions, and access to beneficial, community support groups. It is designed to provide intensive & structured treatment for clients with psychiatric and addictive problems. Our healthy and comfortable inpatient setting allows all patients to recover without any distractions or negative influences that may affect their recovery.
Once admitted, patients will undergo a multidisciplinary assessment within specific time frames.
These assessments form the basis for a Multi-Disciplinary Master Treatment Plan. It creates the goals and objectives of treatment, which details the frequency of the interventions and staff members who will be responsible for follow-through of these interventions.
