Landlord Partnerships

The Access Ohio Navigator Program partners with landlords that have safe, decent affordable housing units throughout Columbus.

The Access Ohio Navigator program is a unique 3 month intensive case management program designed to rapidly rehouse individuals experiencing homelessness in permanent housing. Our program is unique because we work to help our clients obtain housing and provide them the supports needed to successfully maintain that housing.  We provide intensive home/community-based case management services. We connect those we serve to ongoing community services and supports that will assist them in maintaining their housing with you long-term. Our services include tenant education (responsibilities and rights), budgeting, benefits/employment assistance, and crisis intervention.

We believe we are all in this together.  Landlords literally hold the key to our clients’ futures.  While we are unable to provide ongoing rental assistance, in most cases we have the ability to help the client secure a deposit and first month rent.  We can assure you that you and the people you house in your units will have responsive, home-based supports from our program. Transitioning from homelessness to housing is a critical, exciting and stressful time, especially for the individuals with complex histories served by our program.

Dedicated to the success of those we serve, the Navigator Program will provide to Landlords:

  • Reliable Contact: You will know your tenant’s navigator! You will have a direct line of contact with continued weekly follow-ups as needed.
  • Landlord Hotline: You will have access to a responsive support “hotline” with a 24-hour guaranteed response time. 
  • Regular Home Visits: Our Navigators conduct regular home visits to ensure that clients are stabilized in their new environments, that their jobs are going well, and that they are getting the support they need.  Regular follow up with clients allows us to identify and address potential problems early on – before they become irreparable.

Our program’s success is based upon regular communication with our clients, collaboration with program partners, partnerships with landlords grounded in a philosophical commitment to following through on the promises we make.
